Get used to it: RGIII on fire, shredding the Saints D

So far, so good for Robert Griffin III. Or rather, so far so perfect for RGIII in his NFL regular season debut.

Griffin went 7-for-7 in the first quarter at New Orleans, passing for 123 yards and one score. On Washington's opening possession, he connected on a series of short, chain-moving throws, mostly low-difficulty receiver screens.

Then on the team's next possession, this happened.

That would be an 88-yard TD for Pierre Garcon, off a simple inside-breaking route. Give Garcon credit for a nifty grab on a high throw. Griffin peppered his go-to receiver with early targets, as those two have picked up where they left off in the exhibition season. Unfortunately, Garcon also suffered a foot injury, and his return in considered questionable.

But still, Griffin is killing it. He eventually tossed a couple incompletions in the second quarter, but he led another touchdown drive, punctuated with a 5-yard pass to Aldrick Robinson. (<-- Potential waiver play, depending on the Garcon news). Washington's first four possessions ended in points.

So yeah, the RGIII era is off to a nice start. And the Saints defense has given us absolutely no reason to think this early binge won't continue for a couple more quarters.

Oh, and there's this: Griffin also leads the 'Skins in rushing, as of this writing (seven carries, 33 yards).

We've got five rookie QBs starting today, and it appears RGIII is going to put up the biggest fantasy number, by a mile.
