Saturday's Madrid derby was a contentious affair with players on both sides doing unlikable things. Two of the primary antagonists were Real's Sergio Ramos and Atletico's Diego Costa.
Now, it should be noted that these two have a bit of a history. Last season, Ramos got away with elbowing Costa, but during Atletico's loss on Saturday, Costa got away with a lot of indiscretions of his own -- headbutting Ramos and backhanding him in the mouth (video here). So, Ramos felt the need to strike back, hocking a wad of saliva at Costa while the referee had his head turned.
There are no winners here.
