The Carolina Panthers did not finish well, as they dropped an overtime game to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 27-21. But early in the game, quarterback Cam Newton made a kid's year by handing him a football.
Jonathan Stewart had a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter to put the Panthers up 14-10. Newton grabbed the ball, then ran to the stands and handed the football to a young fan sitting in the stands at Bank of America Stadium. (Press play. You'll be glad you did.)
Check out the look on that kid's face. That is what you call pure, unadulterated joy. Not only was today awesome for him, but he is also going to get to tell his friends about his football at school tomorrow. Plus, holidays and days off and presents and good food are coming his way. This child might be the happiest person on the planet, and it's all thanks to Newton.
If that doesn't make you smile, your heart may be three sizes too small.
