A couple weeks ago, the KNVB launched a campaign promoting acceptance of gay footballers with a commercial depicting a guy wearing a closet while playing. The goofy depiction, which has aired on Dutch television, concludes with the words, "Why not come out of the closet? Your team is on your side." It's is paired with a more in-depth "action plan" to help encourage a positive atmosphere for gay footballers to be open about their sexuality under the slogan "football is for everyone." Though it does seem to gloss over the real-world problems that have prevented more gay footballers from coming out.
