Pacers rookie Miles Plumlee can Cha Cha Slide on a unicycle (VIDEO)

See, Enes Kanter? This is how a big man showcases his talents at a fan-focused preseason event — not with "Footloose" kicks and a disconcerting "Worm," but with difficult-to-process acts of balance that are somehow both ridiculous and impressive. You could learn a lot from Indiana Pacers rookie Miles Plumlee, it seems. Sure, you might teach him plenty yourself when your Utah Jazz visit Bankers Life Fieldhouse in late December — if the ex-Dukie can get out of his own head enough to get off the bench, that is — but I'll bet he'll develop a good drop-step before you learn how to dance. And if he doesn't, at least he knows he can probably link up with Red Panda and stay in the league in a halftime-entertainment capacity. The future's looking bright for Young Miley Plums.

Plumlee being a 6-foot-11, 255-pound dude who can ride a unicycle is the kind of thing you miss when you don't follow college basketball that closely. It's also the kind of thing that feels like a pretty good pump-primer as we sit mere hours away from the beginning of the 2012-13 NBA regular season — we're going to see surprising things, many of which are ridiculous and come from unexpected sources, and many of them will make us laugh, because I firmly believe the NBA is the funniest sports league in the world. If it wasn't, then why would the first game of the year feature the Cleveland Cavaliers and Washington Wizards?

Welcome back, NBA. We've missed your blissful nonsense, and we can't wait for more.

(Also, I'm calling it now — Sam Young won't pull another move as impressive as that capoeira-style flip he did while dancing to "Yeah" on an NBA court for the rest of the season. Book it.)
