World Series candids: Scenes from the Giants celebration at Comerica Park

DETROIT — Maybe it was the cramped visitor's clubhouse at Comerica Park. Maybe it was because some players were celebrating their second World Series title in three seasons. Or maybe Aubrey Huff really was right when he said this 2012 San Francisco Giants squad was more business-like than the "frat boys" who barreled into that 2010 title.

Whatever the case, San Francisco's celebration following Sunday's 4-3 victory over the Detroit Tigers to complete a World Series sweep was a low-key affair. Or at least as far as these things usually go. With players and their families spread out between the clubhouse, field, concourse and tunnels it never seemed like there was one central party going on.

But that doesn't mean there weren't plenty of memories being made. My favorite shot on my annual picture-snapping tour of the victorious side was young Houston Theriot (above) looking up at his dad as Ryan Theriot talked about scoring what'd end up being the winning run of the World series in the top of the 10th inning.

Here are a few other favorites. If you'd like to see more, check out our Instagram gallery:

The man who knocked in Theriot? None other than Marco Scutaro, one of the many puzzle pieces that added up to a title for the Giants in 2012.

Brandon Belt poses with family after the win, his first as a member of the Giants. There were a lot of players letting loose for the first time as Buster Posey was the only player on the field for the final out of both 2010 and 2012.

Brandon Crawford and his wife Jalynne do a television interview beamed back to San Francisco. Hard to believe Crawford has gone from the glum 5-year-old in this picture to winning a World Series ring with the favorite team from his childhood.

The was a big contingent of Giants fans on hand and it stuck around to cheer the various Giants who'd pop on the field to do interviews and take pictures.
