Atlanta's Matt Ryan spent most of the first half of Sunday's game against Oakland throwing the ball right into the hands of Raider defenders. So it was singularly appropriate that even though he started getting his feet under him, he still couldn't help but find the silver and black.
Like, for instance, this bank shot off Oakland's Joselio Hanson that ended up right in the lap of Harry Douglas. It's one of the best catches of the year, and not just because of Hanson's surprised hand-flailing when the ball hits him.
[Also: Redskins could be in big trouble for handling of RG3's concussion]
This drive would end with the Falcons kicking a field goal to draw within three. And although Atlanta did its best to hand the game to Oakland, the Raiders kept handing it back, and the Falcons would go on to win 23-20.
This play certainly won't go on the highlight reels of either Ryan or Hanson. But it's on ours.
